Temperature Measurement

Temperature measurement (also known as thermometry) describes the process of measuring temperature for immediate evaluation. Many methods have been developed for measuring temperature. Most of these rely on measuring some physical property of a working material that varies with temperature. Thermocouples, Resistance temperature detectors (RTDs), Pyrometers and Infrared thermometers are some of the common measurement techniques. They are available in simple gauges, switches or transmitters as well as temperature scanning systems and controllers.
